The regular monitoring of used oil has become a critical part of
preventive maintenance programs for many fleet operators of automotive and commercial
vehicles as well as industrial equipment. For a small fee, Atlantis International offers
its customers a complete used oil analysis service that helps identify and correct
potential problems before they occur. Our Oil Analysis Preventive Program undergoes a
series of rigorous tests and careful evaluations, including:
- Spectrographic Analysis
- Degradation
- Contamination
- Oxidation
- Nitration
- Viscosity
- Water/Coolant Content
- Total Acid Number (TAN)
- Total Base Number (TBN)
How does it work
| 1 |
A testing kit is provided by our distributor
with clear plastic bottles to collect the used oil samples. Samples should be taken from
the operating equipment according to an established schedule, based on hours of operation,
miles of service or by calendar period for continuously operating units. |
| 2 |
Samples are sent to one of our distributors in
your area and we take care of the rest. |
| 3 |
The distributor will air express the samples to
us and we will have the results, usually the next day after receipt of the samples.
|
| 4 |
If our lab technicians detect a potential
problem we will telephone or fax you immediately.
|
| 5 |
We send you the preliminary lab report by fax or
email, together with the analysts recommendations. The report will show the last
four previous tests for that particular unit. The signed report is then sent to our
distributor for delivery to your office a few days later.

As part of our oil analysis preventive service,
we maintain a complete history of the tests results for each of your units, noting any
significant variations or trends each time a new oil sample is analyzed |
